Revolut US to Delist ADA, MATIC & SOL in September

Crypto-friendly neobank Revolut has announced that it will halt purchases of Cardano (ADA), Polygon (MATIC) and Solana (SOL) for U.S. customers, but holding and selling remains available until mid-September.

Delisting Due to Regulatory Developments

The decision to delist these tokens is due to developments in its U.S. infrastructure according to Revolut, as its U.S. crypto services provider has decided to delist them due to the changing laws and regulations around cryptocurrency in the United States. However, other jurisdictions outside of the United States are unaffected by this change as there are no plans for them to delist these tokens from their platform elsewhere where they remain available with over 115 cryptocurrencies available within Europe plus the UK compared with only 33 within the US itself..

Immediate Halt on Purchases

On June 29th, Revolut notified its US customers about this upcoming change stating that buying ADA, MATIC and SOL is immediately closed for all customers while users can still hold onto or sell their existing holdings up until September 18th with any remaining tokens automatically sold at market prices before then with the USD proceeds deposited into your Revolut account afterward..

Other Companies Follow Suit

Revlout isn’t alone in making this move as companies like Robinhood, eToro & Bakkt have also announced similar delistings for these 3 particular tokens after they were labelled as unregistered securities by the U.S Securities & Exchange Commission earlier this month..

Conclusion

In conclusion, Revolut US will be halting purchases of Cardano (ADA), Polygon (MATIC) and Solana (SOL) starting from June 29th but current holders will still be able to hold or sell their existing holdings up until September 18th before completely delisting them from their platform later on down the line due to changing regulatory developments within America itself whilst other jurisdictions remain unaffected by this change at present .
